Our Team
Kayla – Director of Administration, Finance, and Operations
Healing philosophy:
Trauma creates pain we don’t choose but healing creates the change we choose. The survivor’s choice empowers them to continue to break barriers and succeed despite all that has worked against them. The world needs who they were made to be and it’s our job to bring that out. Survivors are a masterpiece and beautiful in each way as well as work in progress.
Healthy lasting support systems help make the Soul Survivor Network strong, but that starts with the victim or survivor being at the center. Healing is not one size fits all or linear.
Network positions and interests:
At Soul Survivor Network, Kayla leads efforts to drive resource retrieval and expenditure to guarantee success of organization’s goals, missions and values.
We firmly believe that if resources are allocated to support holistic healing of the victim or survivor we will see change within the student in which they positively impact and enhance their communities, industries and world as well as indirectly impact those they are surrounded by.
We support with tangible items to persevere through the healing journey like care packages for hearings, anniversaries, and difficult moments.

Athena – Director of Outreach, Membership, and Marketing
Healing Philosophy:
I believe in helping our students define what healing means for them and providing them the support they need to do so. For many, healing is a difficult and multi-faceted path for which there is no guidebook. I want to empower our students to choose their destination and write their own guidebook with the knowledge that we will walk beside them on their path for any portions that they choose.
Network Positions and Interests:
As the Director of Marketing, Membership, and Outreach, I am passionate about building the network that makes Soul Survivor Network.
Personal Interests:
I love traveling, eating good food, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
Mary- Director of Advocacy and Support Services
Healing Philosophy:
I received my B.A. in Business Administration, M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs, and currently pursuing my PhD in Public Administration. I am an educator by trade and an advocate by heart. I find passion in meeting with victims and survivors by being a part of their healing journey. More specifically, empowering victims/survivors to gain confidence and strength as they navigate the various systems that come with their healing journey. I enjoy celebrating triumphant milestones while maintaining solidarity in defeated moments.
Network Positions and Interests:
My higher education experience has uniquely positioned me to help individuals navigate the college systems by identifying their Title IX rights to services, resources, and college responses. Although any sexual violence and interpersonal violence can have a significant impact to a survivor, my mission is to help students fulfill their intended goal by graduating with a college degree. My services include, but are not limited to, short-term care, long-term coaching, academic assistance, resource referrals, disciplinary proceeding advisor, and much more!
Personal Interests:
I believe in educating our respective communities to allow our survivors to heal in a trauma-informed approach. I welcome conversations from co-survivors, allies, and community members to engage in constructive and collaborative efforts in helping transform survivors into college graduates.
